#756 Active-Imagination Adventures After Brain Surgery with Jungian Analyst Michael Gellert

Michael Gellert was born and raised in Montreal. The son of Hungarian Holocaust survivors, he was educated in rabbinic Judaism, pursued religious studies in college, and trained with a renowned Zen master in Japan for two years. He was a humanities professor at Vanier College, Montreal, managed an employee assistance program for the City of New York, and served as a mental health consultant for the University of Southern California and Time magazine. A Jungian psychoanalyst practicing in Los Angeles and Pasadena, Michael is a former Director of Training and currently an instructor at the C. G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles. He also leads a Jungian Writing Workshop. His books include Modern Mysticism, The Way of the Small (which won Spirituality & Practice’s Book Award for One of the Best Spiritual Books of 2007), America’s Identity Crisis, and The Divine Mind (the latter two each receiving a Nautilus Book Award). His new book, Far From This Land: A Memoir About Evolution, Love, and the Afterlife, will be published on August 15th, 2021 and is available for preorder on Amazon and, with signed and personalized copies, through the C. #755 Neuroscientist Christian Jarrett PhD on The Science of Becoming Your Best Self


A cognitive neuroscientist by training, Dr. Christian Jarrett has been popularizing psychology and neuroscience for over two decades. #752 Exploring Inspiration with Psych Prof / Hip Hop Artist Malik Boykin PhD

Globally-traveled and well-respected rapper/Ivy League scholar Malik Starx’s artistry highlights music’s ability to motivate discourse, inspire research, and promote joy. His vocal talent is also present in the classroom, as he is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences (CLPS) at Brown University.
