What a pearl this interview was. Exactly the kind that gets me going, with intense focus on the subject and less emphasis on the interviewee’s background. More density, less chitchat. Like a lecture in dialogue form, if that makes sense. Awesome.
I just put a link to this show on my classmates’ Facebook group. We are in a mostly online MSW program for people already doing human service work. I told them this is the most clear and succinct explanations of addictions I’ve heard. You don’t cover addiction very often, but this show makes up for that.
Great! Thanks, Rich!
It was great to listen to this podcast along with being able to read Ms. Katehakis’ articles in the The Neuropsychotherpist. Very helpful! Thanks!
This was so awesome! Thanks Dave! I want to commit to making the transcription for this podcast. I loved it THAT much that I wish to transcribe! May I do so?
Thanks for your transcription offer but that one is already spoken for! 🙂
David
I was cooking at the time of listening to this exellent podcast several days ago. I seem to remember Katehakis providing a statistic about rates of secure attachment today vs in the 70s. Anyone remind me what it was?? It seems that that stat may be very relevant to the political and social situation we face. And importantly vice-versa, that the political/social/economic world we dwell in leads to insecure attachment. So many lives feel so precarious. Important stuff. Thanks
too many assumptions are made in this “research”, anyone with an objective scientific background could point out the flaws in this asynchonisis attitude towards human sexual development. It’s like freud or early therapists grasping at straws and saying sex problems are related to trauma, no merit…
