As to the question what became of psychosynthesis… I have come across new versions of this approach in Internal Family Systems Theory and the approaches espoused by Dr. Daniel Siegel’s Mindsight as well as the approach of your recent guest Bonnie Badenoch. The idea of sub personalities as part of normal psychology seems to be catching on. I first came across psychosynthesis when investigating Dissociative Identity Disorder. I wonder if the controversial nature of this condition may have done a fair amount to reduce the popularity of the approach. My recent experimentation with the Internal Family Systems approach has convinced me of the merits of this conceptualization.
