This was a great interview and very enlightening. I like how he approached natural eating with humour (twinkies don’t grow on trees).
There was also mention about the risk of pure vegetarians and the lack of B12, which the human body cannot synthesize.
My father is vegetarian, and occassionaly fruiterian, and he is the most active 81 year old I know, on his feet 9 hours a day teaching English to Adults, and going for walks etc. He has mentioned to us over the years the important of eating something we call Tempeh, a vegetarian source of Vitamin B12. You can find it in Whole Foods etc.
I applaud your own efforts at trying to go vegan/vegetarian. Here is a link to a journal that talked about vegetarian sources for B12
