great interview… just started this training myself….
This was one of the first of Dr Dave’s podcasts I listened to while I was searching for information about Trauma as I had just been diagnosed with complex PTSD. Following on from this interview I was really taken with the work of Peter Levine and found his explanations of how trauma is created and stored in the body to be incredibly insightful and in keeping with my own experiences.
The work that Suzie and Jerry are doing sounds amazing and I could see how it would be so helpful to families who are in such high need. I have done a stint in the area of child protection and people do need compassion and skills rather than punishment and systemic abuse to best serve their needs. I hope they can get more funding to keep up the good work.
