Fascinating interview.
In particular enjoyed the examples you both gave from your own lives.
Rustin offers fascinating perspectives on early life procedural and implicit learning. I was however surprised to hear her relative lack of familiarity with the implications of this for attachment theory.
Which brings me around to my enthusiasm for your efforts to interview Allan Schore. He would certainly be the best one to address this question.
I was dismayed to hear that Allan Schore has not returned your correspondence! 🙁
I will try to get his attention at the upcoming Interpersonal Neurobiology conference at UCLA in a few weeks.
I will use whatever small amount of influence I can muster to persuade him to give you an interview!
I am very excited to hear you will be interviewing Antonio Damasio!
He certainly ranks among the great ones in the recent neuroscientific paradigm shift towards affective and mind-body neuroscience.
not sure how an understanding of the developmental process dynamics of our inter-activity/inter-subjectivity leaves any room for an “authentic” self, what could that mean in such a systems model?
