Bill Knecht has a unique combination of clinical, supervisory, and management skills and experience. He has served as a therapist for over fifty years in a variety of medical, physical rehabilitation, and mental health settings. In his career, Bill has managed and developed several mental health programs, including the first comprehensive psychiatric emergency service in New Hampshire as well as the first private practice model program within a community mental health system. He is an award-winning supervisor, who has trained hundreds of clinicians. Although experienced in almost all forms of therapy, Bill currently limits his clinical practice to brief couples and sex therapy and sexual addiction issues. He specializes in helping patients adjust to a diagnosis of prostate cancer and other cancers. He also regularly conducts transgender evaluations for HRT. If the initial free phone consultation reveals long-term issues, he will refer out to the appropriate qualified professional.
