While co-leading a personal growth workshop with Dr. Ron Alexander at a retreat center in the Swiss Alps, I met Norbert Muigg who was teaching a large workshop there on Mayan Shamanic Healing. About ten years ago, he left his native Austria to go to Guatemala to teach music and sports at the secondary level. While in Guatemala, he came into contact with the Mayan people and was chosen by the Mayan elders to receive their secret teachings and to share them with those in the wider world who are ready to receive them. Norbert and his wife have started a healing center in Guatemala that combines shamanic and western medical approaches.
