Larry Robinson, M.A., MFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an ecopsychologist, and a poet. He is also in his second term as Mayor of Sebastopol, California. He is probably one of a handful of Green Party mayors in the country.
For over 15 years, Larry, myself, and three other men have met as a leaderless men’s group to provide one another with a mix of challenge, support, and affirmation. In fact, Larry has long been one of the most visible leaders of the men’s movement in Northern California. As a Green Party mayor, his leadership has brought him both national and international attention. He is frequently invited to be a keynote speaker at a variety of national and international events.
In this interview, we discuss the interplay in his life between therapeutic and political skills, as well as the importance of 35 years of Buddhist meditation.

I’ve been getting my GUAYAKI YERBA MATE (tea) from Sebastopol, CA for years and had no idea it was such a small town. Is it just me or is there an inordinate number of fascinating people living in this little area of the country??
