I’m getting a little tired of the word mindfulness, fortunately I decided to listen to this show anyway. Lisa was delightful to listen to.
It makes sense to me that the teachings of Buddha are not religion. I think western medical/psychological thought has a religion phobia which is maladaptive. If I use a therapy that is based on forgiveness as a process of moving from judging to acceptance, is that a religious based therapy because Jesus taught forgiveness and non judgement? If we rule out any health promoting ideas and behaviors that are taught by a religion, we will be left with nothing.
