This episode documents my recent trip to Ireland to conduct a workshop on The Hero’s Journey. In the process, I met with and interviewed Shrink Rap Radio listener Hugh Gormley, M.A. who originally trained to be a priest, then became a computer network consultant, and is in the process of moving toward becoming a counselor, having completed an M.A. program in psychology. Our conversation ranged over a number of interesting topics, including fundamentalism, the changes going on in Ireland, the Hero’s Journey, and folk music, among other things. Hugh is a delightful conversationalist and we really bonded with one another. The show closes with a piece of Celtic podsafe music, “Wild Mountain Thyme” by the Brobdingnagian Bards.
