Dwight Webb, Ph.D. is a longtime friend who has written the 2012 book, Building Heaven on Earth: Claiming Our Human Spirit. His previous books are The Soul of Counseling: A New Model for Understanding Human Experience and 50 Ways to Love Your Leaver: Getting On With Your Life After The Breakup.He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Stanford University and is now Professor Emeritus in the Counselor Education program at the University of New Hampshire. Beyond this, he has presented workshops in Europe and throughout the United States on themes related to future visions of psychological well-being.

To deal with fundamentalism don’t lose a crusade against it! Projection is pretty clear to see in much writing about fundamentalism.
If the basis is anxiety and insecurity (which I think it is) then the cure is a sense of primal security – which is offered in the faith traditions I know of. The cure is helping people go deeper into their traditions not attacking them.
My thoughts. (I grew up in Christian fundamentalism.)
