Dana Schneider, MA, MFT is a lecturer at Sonoma State University and a licensed marriage and family therapist. In addition to 29 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and their families, she has extensive training and experience in the field of divorcing families. She has served as a special master for the Sonoma County Courts. As a member of the Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire, an organization committed to a non-adversarial resolution of divorce related issues, she is committed to helping families through this often-contentious process. Along with a group of experienced co-parent counselors in Sonoma County, Dana has implemented a new approach to working with high conflict families called the Co-Parent Project. She is a co-author of a published article in the Journal of Divorce and Remarriage entitled “Children’s Ability to Cope Post Divorce: The Effects of Kids’ Turn Intervention Program on 7–9 Year Olds.”
