#15 – Islam and Technology with Dr. Doug Davis

Doug Davis, Ph.D. is a longtime friend from grad school days at the University of Michigan. He is professor of psychology at Haverford College, just outside Philadelphia. He and his anthropologist wife, Susan, have spent considerable time conducting research in Morocco. A speaker of Arabic, Doug iprovides key insights into the Islamic worldview. He also has driven a lot of educational technology, both in Morocco and at Haverford. Click here to check out his “hyper-resume.” Doug recommended two books: Why They Don’t Hate Us by Mark Levine and They Marched into The Sunlight by David Maraniss. At the end of the show, we end with an appropriately Middle-Eastern sounding piece of podsafe music titled, “In The Circle” by Hungry Lucy.
